  • All of BeWize’s services including STI tests and the C-Card are completely free for young people.

  • It is advised that you take an STI test 3 weeks after having unprotected sex, because that is the incubation period for chlamydia and gonorrhoea.

  • Yes, 70-80% of people do not experience symptoms prior to testing positive for chlamydia or gonorrhoea. This means it is advised to get tested every 3-6 months.

  • BeWize only works with under 25-year-olds.

  • After you send your test in the post, it is sent to a lab for testing.

    When your results are ready, they will either be shared with you via text or phone call.

  • Emergency hormonal contraception (morning after pill) is available for free from many of the pharmacies in Redbridge.
